Renewables & electricity

In Nigeria, we are developing rural solar electrification solar projects, notably through our distributed generation business.

Gas & green gas

In Nigeria, we have an interest in the Nigeria LNG natural gas liquefaction plant, from which we purchase LNG under long-term supply contracts.

Exploration & Production

In Nigeria, the Company's oil production is mainly offshore. We operate four blocks:

  • PML 2/3/4 (formerly OML 130), with the Akpo and Egina fields in production;
  • OML 99 with the Ikike and Amenam-Kpono fields in production;
  • OML 100; and
  • OML 102, with the Ofon field in production.

We are also present onshore, notably as operator of block OML 58, with the Obagi and Ibewa fields in production, and on which we are developing the Ubeta gas project.

We are also pursuing carbon-neutral initiatives, including a solarization project on OML 58 and the cessation of routine flaring on OML 100 as of December 2023. We have achieved zero routine flaring in all our upstream operations in Nigeria. Nigeria was also one of the first countries in which we carried out campaigns to detect and measure methane emissions on oil and gas installations, using our state-of-the-art drone-mounted AUSEA technology.

Specialty, petroleum and bio-based products

In Nigeria, we operate two lubricant blending plants, and we possess several petroleum product depots.
