The Solidarity Shirt: a project using sharing and inclusion to bring greater cheer to the competition

03/20/2023

As an official sponsor of the Rugby World Cup France 2023, TotalEnergies intends to use the competition to promote its social responsibility and inclusion initiatives. To this end, the Company has initiated the Solidarity Shirt project, which reflects the values of rugby, celebration, inclusion and sharing, in collaboration with the association La Source.

Sharing the values of rugby and TotalEnergies in a single project? TotalEnergies has initiated a challenge in France to create a solidarity jersey for the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

With the help of the association La Source, 7 teams of young people took up the challenge: to imagine and design a jersey that could be the symbol of inclusion, creativity and sharing.

An inclusion project that promotes professional integration

By using "Écoles de production” supported by TotalEnergies and guaranteeing French manufacturing in an eco-responsible manner, this project reflects our commitment to social responsibility and inclusion. The Company is demonstrating its commitment to promoting the professional integration of young people, local employability and limiting our impact on the environment through the French and eco-responsible production of these shirts.

These shirts will be distributed to the young people who participated in the project as well as their educators and trainers who will be invited to wear this shirt during the World Cup matches to celebrate the energies and values that bring us together.

With the 7 jersey designs created by the young people of the association La Source, an external and internal vote was organized to elect the winning shirt.
