TotalEnergies in the Netherlands

We are one of the leading gas operators and producers in the Netherlands, with interests in around 20 offshore production licenses, most of which we operate.

We are also active in exploration with one license.

We also hold interests in the network of gas pipelines that transport the gas produced to the coast, as well as in a regasification capacity at the Gate terminal.

TotalEnergies EP Nederland is involved in the development of CCS in the country, developing CO₂ storage capacity in offshore depleted gas fields connected to the Aramis project, a large scale CO₂ transport and storage solution. We hold a 60% interest and operate the storage part of the project.

We hold a 50% stake in OranjeWind, a 795 MW offshore wind farm currently under development in the Netherlands.

In the Netherlands, we are shareholder in a joint venture that produces biogas from waste for the transportation sector.

As part of the OranjeWind project, we will dedicate our share of renewable electricity production to powering 350 MW electrolyzer projects. These will produce around 40,000 tons per year of green hydrogen to decarbonize our refineries in Northern Europe.

In the Netherlands, we have an interest in the Vlissingen refinery (Zeeland Refinery), which is equipped with a 11 MW ground-mounted solar power plant to meet its energy needs and reduce its environmental footprint.

We have also partnered with Corbion to create the TotalEnergies Corbion joint venture, which specializes in manufacturing bioplastics.

In the Netherlands, we supply our business customers with solutions designed by our affiliates Saft and Hutchinson. We also retail specialty, petroleum and petrochemical products in the country.

In the Netherlands, we operate the public network of around 12,000 electric charging points in the Amsterdam and Utrecht metropolitan areas, and the Amsterdam and Friesland municipalities.

We also operate a network of hydrogen stations across the country.
