Refining & Chemicals

In Saudi Arabia, we are shareholders in the SATORP joint venture alongside Aramco. SATORP operates one of the world's largest refining-petrochemical platforms in Jubail. In 2022, SATORP's refinery received international ISCC+ certification, which recognizes the circular and sustainable nature of its feedstocks and products.

We are also developing the Amiral petrochemical project, in partnership with Aramco: a world-scale steam cracker (1.65 Mt/year of ethylene) and its associated petrochemical units, integrated into the SATORP platform.

Oil and biofuels

In 2023, we produced Middle East's first ISCC+ certified Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) by coprocessing used cooking oil on the SATORP platform.

Together with Aramco and the Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC), we are evaluating the possibility of building a SAF production unit using local residues from the circular economy, in synergy with SATORP.

Specialty, petroleum and bio-based products

We operate a lubricants plant in Saudi Arabia.

Renewables & electricity

We are developing the Wadi Ad Dawasir solar power plant, through a consortium with Toyota Tshuho and Al Taaqa Zahid.

In addition, in November 2024, we signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) for the Rabigh 2 solar project (300 MW), through a consortium with Saudi developer Aljomaih Energy and Water Company (AEW).

We are also shareholders in the SAFEER joint venture, which develops decentralized solar projects for industrial and commercial customers.
