India: Our Broad Energy Strategy in Partnership With Adani

India is a priority when it comes to implementing the Company’s growth strategy, based on natural gas and renewable energy. Why? Because the country needs support switching from coal to low-carbon energy sources.

However, in a geography of such vast proportions, it’s extremely difficult to gain entry without a local partner. The obvious choice in this regard was Adani, a leading Indian industrial group with in-depth knowledge of the local market and an extensive presence in the energy and infrastructure sectors.

A first-rate local partner

Since 2018, we have formed alliances in two core areas of our strategy. First, natural gas, through -investments in a liquefied natural gas terminal and local gas distribution and marketing networks. Second, in the renewable energy sector, primarily solar.

Our partnership with Adani Group to develop low-carbon energy in India facilitates the energy transition not only at the local level, but also on a global scale.
